Poem #16 - Rock'n'Roll Fire

In keeping with my desire to be a rockstar, and inspired in part by the Nickleback song and U2's ZOO TV tour, where rock and roll excess were the norm, this is part of how I imagine it would be to live a life of excess.

Rock'n'Roll Fire

Rollin’ down the boulevard in a golden car,

Money ain’t an issue, we’re above the par,

Mansions, yachts,  private jets in line,

Livin’ life in excess, nothin’ to decline.

Diamonds in pockets, champagne on ice,

Every single moment’s like rollin’ a dice,

Kings and queens of the lavish scene,

Livin’ in a fantasy, where it’s never routine.

Rich, and in a world of excess,

Drowning in dollars, nothing’s too much to possess,

Living fast, living wild, we confess,

In this world of opulence, can’t remember our address.

Sweat and passion blend in harmony,

A symphony of chaos, wild and free,

Crowd on their feet, roaring out for more,

Keep on rocking ‘til hearts are sore.

Diamonds in pockets, champagne on ice,

Every single moment’s like rollin’ a dice,

Kings and queens of the lavish scene,

Livin’ in a fantasy, where it’s never routine.
