Poem #33 - Fire

I believe we all have a fire inside us, something that drives us to do whatever it is we do. Some people let the rain drops of life extinguish the flame. But the bigger the fire the harder it is to put out. So keep your fire stoked and my it burn brightly.

Fire

In the heart's chamber, a blazing fire does burn,

A fervent flame, with much to discern.

An inferno, with warmth and might,

It burns through the coldest, darkest night.

Storms brew on life's tempestuous sea,

The raindrops fall, testing a bond's decree.

Circumstances clash, like thunder's roar,

As waves of doubt crash upon the shore.

But fire, can weather the gales,

As the tempest rages, they often prevail.

And sometimes, the rain does fall intense,

And emotions dwindle, losing their sense.

Yet remember, storms, too, shall pass,

Leaving behind both heartache and glass.

For in the aftermath, feelings renew,

Stronger and fiercer, tried and true.

So let this passion burn bright and high,

In the face of storms, let fervour fly.

For through life's trials, truth we find,

A beacon of hope, in the heart and mind.
