Poem #44 - Chasing

Another attempt at describing the being chased by "The Black Dog" and the Demons that reside in our heads.

It was around this time that I was reminded of a saying that is attributed to Adharanand Finn "The Devil whispered in my ear: You're not strong enough to withstand the storm. I whispered back: I am the storm"

So this is kind of inspired by that, but recently I came up with another one, which I'll post later.

Remember if you are struggling, there is hope. You are enough. You do not need to beat all of lifes ill's today.

Today is just one day of the rest of your life.

Chasing

Chasing echoes through the shadows' embrace,

In a labyrinth of illusions, a perilous chase.

A soul entangled in a web unseen,

Caught in the dance where shadows convene.

Pursuing mirages that promise release,

Whispers of solace, a transient lease.

A journey embarked on a perilous glide,

Into the clutches of a phantom tide.

Through the mist, the colours fade,

Chasing Specters, a serenade of the jaded.

A silent siren's song, a dance on the edge,

Lost in a trance, where realities pledge.

Haunted by echoes, a relentless call,

Footprints in twilight, where shadows enthral.

Desperation lingers in the searching gaze,

Chasing elusive dreams through a fragmented maze.

Fleeting moments of reprieve, a delicate thread,

In the tapestry of cravings, where illusions are spread.

The intangible grip, a silent command,

Chasing elusive phantoms across shifting sand.

Yet within this struggle, a glimmer of light,

A chance to break free from the endless night.

Untangle the threads, find a path to ascend,

Escape the spectral cycle, and healing transcend.
