So I've been using this as my tag line on insta for a while now, and thought I should try to use it one of my poems.
I'm not 100% happy with this one, but I think it gets the sentiment across.
Ultimately, what I'm trying to say is this:
2 people working together, get more done than 2 individuals.
3 people working together, get more done than 3 individuals, or 2 people working together and 1 individual.
4 people working together, get more done than 3 individuals, or 3 people working together people working together and 1 individual, or or 2 people working together and 2 individuals and so on.
Team work makes the dream work they say.
It frustrates me that there are so many awesome organisations out there supporting mental health but while we all have the same goals, we are fighting each other for the charitable dollars. If only we could all work together "sigh"
I'm as guilty as the next person when it comes to this, there are charities out there that I would love to donate to, but if I'm going to donate, it's going to be to the charity I work with.
Utimately, it is my dream to train as many people in Mental Health First Aid as I can, because the more people we have in our community, that can have these difficult conversations, safely, the better off our whole community is. AND the added bonus to that is the more people that can talk about mental health openly and honestly, the less stigma and shame will be attached to mental health, and more people will seek help, and THAT can only be a good thing!
