Poem #6 - Bob

Writer's picture: Craig FieldCraig Field

The character Bob, has been floating around for many years. He's been the butt of many jokes, and many pets have almost been named after him. It is only fitting that he gets a poem.

Bob

Bob, Bob, he’s just an ordinary guy,

With a mortgage to pay and a job that makes him sigh.

But deep inside, he dreams of something more,

A life of greatness he’s always yearned for.

Bob, Bob, let your spirit soar,

Reach for something more.

You’ve got the power, don’t you see?

Bob set your dreams free!

Bob’s got a wife who loves him, and two kids so dear,

He works hard for them, year after year.

But when the day is done, and the stars are shining bright,

He closes his eyes and dreams of a different life.

In his heart, he knows there’s more to life,

A chance to rise above the strife.

He’s got a fire burning in his soul,

It’s time for Bob to take control!

Bob wakes up with a spark in his eye,

He’s tired of living a life that just passes by.

He quits his mundane job and takes a leap of faith,

Determined to find greatness in his own unique way.

Bob, he’s no ordinary man,

He’s chasing his dreams,

Doing the best he can.

If you ever doubt that you can achieve,

Let your spirit soar,

Reach for something more.

You’ve got the power, don’t you see?

Set your dreams free,

Bob
